I’m not sure of your time zone. But if you’re wondering why I’m up at 5:00 a.m....morning mojo with a cup of joe.
Also, that last picture of the unicorn? That’s a shot of me at the office today wishing I was home doing the same nothing I’m going to be doing there. 😆
Ha! Love it. Yeah, the unicorn really says it all for me, too.
I’m EST (New Jersey). What’s your time zone, Parthenia? Also, what type of coffee did you have this morning (regular cup, latte, 3-shot espresso ?) 🤔😊☕️☕️
oh nice! love the midwest (CST). I like Starbucks for my espresso, or a local bean from a place we go to for brunch (and they grind their own coffee). I'm not much of a Dunkin' girl (occasionally I like an iced coffee from there on a hot summer day). But for my espresso, Starbucks is my bean.
How cool that someone is going to gift you an espresso machine! Let me know how it works and how it affects your quality of life (and productivity!!) :))
Haha! Glad to help lol. 😂😂 ...and very happy to have connected with you, too. I was an English major at Yale (undergrad) and also studied abroad in England which I think we talked about briefly a few weeks ago, so I’m aiming up your beautiful writing and posts (as well as the photographs you post!).
How’s the weather there right now? It’s too warm for my liking here in New Jersey/northeast. Hoping for a little snow for the kids to play in.
Thanks for the shoutout, and the introduction to Taylor Swift’s song titles and lyrics! 😊 I’m in the Central zone. Coffeemaker porn catalog: French press x 2, Chemex, moka, Neapolitan, Melitta, Kitchen Aid cold brew. Just gave away my Keurig and Nespresso, a cheap cappuccino machine, a Ninja dripper, and a Krups blade grinder, in the interest of counter space. Bought a burr grinder at last! What took me so long?
You're welcome, Mary! So cool that you're Central zone. It looks like Parthenia (above) is, too! I'm over here in the northeast (NJ). My hubby and kids and I lived in Washington state for a few years, and we have dear friends who live in Iowa and Chicago.
Oooh, what's a "burr grinder?" is that a bean grinder? We grind our beans and have a traditional coffee maker. I am very interested in pour-overs though, and as I mentioned to Parthenia, I also love a good cup of espresso (with oatmilk).
Happy new year! Enjoy your coffee buzz, hope you get lots of fun and creative writing done! :)
A burr grinder uses ridged plates (like disk brakes) at adjustable levels to grind beans uniformly at precise settings from fine to coarse. Grounds are evenly sized, so no powder or sludge. I love the Oxo grinder.

Question: What coffee do you use for your espressos? Someone is about to gift me an espresso machine. 💃🏾

Hi Kay, pretty mild here in Cambridge UK but winter storms might eventually reach us. We rarely get snow but hope your kids do, soon!
thanks! likewise. my hands wrapped around a nice warm drink, while it snows outside...ahh one of my favorite moments.
